Do you know why they replaced Keaton in this movie? Did he demand a lot of money or did the director want a different actor to play as Batman?

It wasnt so much that Michael Keaton was replaced, the director had seen Val Kilmers performance as Doc Holiday in Tombstone, though Keaton was still contracted on. Keaton left citing creative differences (some people don't want to play superheros their whole life) and thus left the space open for Kilmer to come in to play Batman

I see. I think he should have had at least one more Batman film though to make it a trilogy with him playing all the Batman roles for the first three films.

after batman returns i think he knew it was time to hangup the cape.
