What villian do you think they will choose to be in the next Batman Movie (Batman 3[7]).

I want the Ventroliquist.

I think if they're going to top the Dark Knight, they've got to go the whole hog regarding making the franchise 'dark'. Nolan basically has to make the next Batman a borderline horror film if it's not just going to be dissapointing and unconvincing. I read somewhere that Mr Freeze was being considered... I think he'd work perfectly if he was drastically revised. I'm thinking a sinewy bald guy who moved to Gotham, who has no friends or contacts, children killed by criminals, his wife left comatose in hospital (comatose, not cryogenically frozen - after all, Nolan's films are trying to keep within the bounds of reality, here), slowly going mad with lonliness, bathing in ice-cubes because "living with pain teaches you how to cope with pain", demanding ransom money from mob bosses and the public alike in return for ceasing murdering their wives (to "show them all how it feels"), hiding bodies in freezers around town, supporting crime to fund Gotham's medical research centre to help bring his wife out of a coma...

Really, really dark. It's got to be. I imagine a scenario where he emerges from a walk-in freezer, having been left for dead by the mob bosses who've eventually found him, his face and body totally blackened and disfigured by frostbite. A final showdown with Batman (who's unplugged his wife, just to stop the murders), with Freeze in a 1970s lunar space suit stolen from a museum, air conditioning inside it turned down to freezing?

I think there's a way to work the character.

I think that they should use The Riddler and maybe Harley Quinn

I think SamLEa is onto some thing with the mr. freeze idea but to make it that little bit more dark the way he kills people should be to dip them in liquid nytrogen and keeping them as a collection sort of thing. Brad Pitt could play him. i can see it now. they have also incorperated the idea of Angelina Joile as catwoman, they could be in it together.

I think Ras al Guls daughter would work, if they do do the Riddler, then I want to see something completely different than the Joker. I think Johnny Depp could nail it, David Tennant (Who just said he's doing only three more episodes of being Doctor Who) would also probably work. If Christopher Nolan does return (Which I'm praying for) then he probably won't do the penguin cause "some characters are harder to protray than others". Maybe his research will lead to one of Batman's first villians, Doctor Death. As I said before the Riddler seems hard to do for an actor, having to distance themselves from Heath Ledger's Joker. But would they have the nerve, or the crazyness, or genuis to re-cast the Joker. It's not impossible.

I would love Mr. Freeze as next character - maybe played by Alan Rickman?

that is the most interesting idea for mr. freeze i've ever heard. very cool idea. i don't know about the space suit and all that but the premise you started with is very interesting. i have thought to myself "how could a character like mr. freeze be incorporated into chris nolan's world?" and i gotta say...that would be about as close to it as it can get. though i'm not sure how that would work in the story that chris nolan has already begun. soudns like that would be more focused on mr. feeze as opposed to batman...batman/bruce wayne's story being the heart of the past two movies...

come on we all know in our hearts that all superhero movies go really childish, over the top and silly in the 3rd part, for example, superman 3, batman forever, spiderman 3.

X-Men 3, Blade 3, Return of the Jedi (the Ewoks at least)

I guess I'm just hoping this time will be different. Nolan seems to have his head on straight as a filmmaker, including his non-batfilms. ... Dude, you better not be right! That's one of my biggest entertainment-fears.

I think they should put Harley Quinn in a movie. I think Nolen should try to use a villian that hasn't been in a movie yet thats what made Batman Begins so awesome!

Most of us would like that, Batgirl227. Where we keep finding trouble though is finding the right balance between casting a great unlikely villain and maintaining/besting the standard set by BB and TDK.

hmmmm well im pretty hooked on the riddler idea i posted on another thread just wish someone with better writing skills could put my point across better as for who to play him i think david tennant is a great choice(but only coz i think he could play any role seriously if u havent watched his non doctor who stuff u should) but i also think the biggest riddle of the movie would be who he is the audience would know that it was a certain e.nigma but noone in the film would but instead of the usual campish ott questioned cover suit(which i love in all forms except glittery batman and robin one before people start having a go) in nolans universe it would have to be just a plain green suit not bright almost faded. if anything was questioned shaped it would give him away. he could directly talk to the batman express his fear of the riddler that tension that he is right there being maybe evn saved by the batman and batman not realising he is the man he has spent all his free time trying to track down would be amazing. this could be the film where the riddlers riddles transform batman into the worlds greatest detective coz lets face it nolan has not really gone far down the detective route so far yes action looks good but all the action should come from minor crims and just pure tension from the riddler
alll starting with that white van with "who is rich enough to be the batman" painted opn the side
sorry i just like that idea and the tension it would cause at a fundraising event held by bruce with all of gothams richest there would be amazing

David would make a fantastic riddler. He can act serious, as he has done many times in doctor who. And his other parts have been serious, discluding the driving instructor.

Riddler/Jude Law
Harley Quinn/Alexis Dziena
Catwoman/Leslie Bibb

Zasz would be a good one (whos already appeared in BB). Riddler would be the obvious choice though.

I like the guy who said Mr. freeze with a really dark theme, Its got to be horror type I completely agree. I don't think im with the space suit thing though. How about instead of freeze like ice, His comatose wife is in a frozen state, done by the mob. He goes around killing the mobsters (putting them into a coma as revenge, putting them in a freeze "frozen state"coma) Batman even though the mob is getting what it deserves understands justice and hence must try to stop this. He battles with letting it go, his talks with alfred etc. But in the end he has to do what is just and the fair trial thing.

I also don't think this should be the only character, of course freeze is in a weird way helping batman out . The riddler or someone else is now wreaking havoc with the good. (freeze is just getting the mob back.

Oh my god that would be badass, Depp is SUCH a good actor (I'm a guy and I'm straight, I swear :D ), but damn it he is. People are going to disagree, but frankly I think he might be capable of filling Ledger's shoes as the new villan (Riddler sounds good). He's going to have to make sure he doesn't in any way, shape, or form resemble that goofy-ass character that Jim Carrey played, though. He's going to have to be straight evil, just like Joker was in The Dark Knight, nothing funny about him.

No Mr Freeze that would suck. Nolan knows he can't go Bruckheimer on this. Penguin could definately come into play (Dan Fogler could be a possibility). Harley Quinn can make an appearance, carry out some of the Joker's work while he is in custody (they'll need to find someone to fill in/kill off). I think Zoey Dashenel could play an amazing Harley Quinn (Brittany Murphy would have been a great Harley too, unfortunately). If the Riddler arrives...Guy Pearse could play an awesome Riddler. With his previous work with Nolan it would be a flawless performance.

I still think Nolan needs to go with a bit of a unknown baddie.how Zsasz who is just a mindless killer who for every victim he cuts a mark into his body as a way to count his victims.
