I just finished watching Batman Forever, and for some reason it made me want to drown my new puppy who i loved very much. i don't know why but i think it was jim carey as the riddler, i think he made me drown little rocky
well everyone has their own opinions about the Batman films, and i don't agree with you completely that it was bad enough to drown a puppy, it wasn't as good as the first Batman film with Keaton
This is one of my least favorite Batman movies along with Batman Returns. I love the ending music though.

Batman Forever was the start of the ending...
Until Batman Begins came along :)
Haha, sounds like Jamie has quite a firm opinion on Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin, though he does have a point that both are quite average

I think it was good...not as good as the Tim Burton and Chris Nolan ones, but ok.
But I didn't liek how The Riddler was so comedic...the Joker is more like that, but not the Riddler.
The Riddler is more of an obsessive brainiac.
When I think Riddler...I think this

I suppose if Riddler were flamboyantly gay...he would be this(not knocking Jim Carrey)

Batman Forever was failed by having to overly comedic villians, Val Kilmer was a good batman and looked the part (the look of batman is all in the eyes and kilmer has crazy eyes) and he looked the part for bruce wayne unlike keaton who was a good batman but not a good bruce wayne and don't get me started on clooney.

This movie was funny, the riddler was the funniest villian, I think that with a comedic villian in batman made it interesting.

I take the Riddler as looney. The funniest was Jack Nicholson's portayal of the Joker. I mean, "I'm glad you're dead" is classic but so simple.

Surely it's great as other version. You can see with some influence from some characters.Jim Carey captures most of my attention with all his scenes.

i love batman forever. for me, of the original 4, batman forever is second best to the original. i'm sorry but batman returns is awful. it was on tv the other week and i forgot how insanely bad it is. the story is so sloppy and really quite stupid. i try and i try to like this movie...but i think i need to throw in the towel.
the greatest batman movie of all time is the dark knight and then batman begins. but i like batman forever for what it was. it was a fun and comic book like telling of a batman story. it was very colorful like a comic book. it was good for that genre of a batman movie. there is obviously no comparison to the newer movies but compared to batman and robin and batman returns? it owns. you have to view the first 4 batman films on their own level and watch batman begins and dark knight on a completely seperate level. they have nothing to do with each other and should never be compared.

I disagree. I thought Batman returns story was fast, funny, and sexy. Personally i preffered the Burton films too the Shumacher films. The storys of burtons were better, the way the put across the atmosphere of Gotham was better, but the Shumacher films did have something the others didnt.
But i agree with kevin on the fact that the nolan films kick arse.

I don't think you can just love the ending music. If you guys hate Batman Forever so much don't even stay to listen to U2's song. If you don't like Batman Forever you do not have the right to like the U2 song. It's not right. And how come everyone likes the pink and turquoise buissness suit Riddler? On halloween one year, me and my friend each wanted to dress up like The Riddler. But we didn't want to look the same so I dressed up like the Jim Carrey Riddler and he dressed up like The cartoon suit Riddler. Everyone kept thinking I was The Riddler and he was The Joker. We had to tell Everyone that he was also The Riddler. One person thought we was a zombie in a suit with blood going down him. And the guy wasn't joking. He thought he was. The movies from best to worst go like this: Batman Forever, The Dark Knight, Batman, Batman And Robin, Batman Begins, Batman Returns. :)

Thought Jim Carrey did well as The Riddler, I just did not like Batman Forever too much compared to other Batman movies.

If you don't like Batman Forever you do not have the right to like the U2 song.
BS! What if you're a U2 fan in general? You might like the song and dislike Batman Forever. Your rationale makes no sense. ;)
