I don't think Robin would work well since he has not shown up yet
When he was introduced last time it was horrible and took a lot out of the movie

I agree, and shouldn't Robin be younger? Say maybe, 13 or 14

Nolans batman is set far too early for Dick Grayson to be included (at least as a sidekick). I'd be open to the possibility of Bruce adopting Dick in a movie in the coming future, but I think batman 3 would be FAR too early.

I concider Nolans continuity as the foundation of Bruce. He doesn't need a sidekick for a long time coming,

Introducing Robin would ruin the new movies.
Batman is a dark, brooding ninja -then along comes a school boy in bright red, green and yellow acrobat spandex! It doesn't really work does it?

Robin is hard to do and get it right. I think they should introduce him in the "first" film as a child (show the death of his parents under the big top)... and then have Bruce send him off to a boarding school... that way he's looked for under the "Wayne Foundation." This needs to be spread out over 2 or 3 movies though... Have Dick reappear occasionally, or have Alfred go and check on him. Then by the 3rd film maybe 5 years has gone by and he's ready to be Robin.

They could combine all the best parts from all three robins into one. Like take that Tim was able to figure out that Bruce was Batman, take that Dick's parents were murdered and this made Bruce sympathize with him, and that Jason was.... well no one liked Jason, that's why people had him murdered with the call in thing. But anyhow, the transition from robin to night wing should be one of the quickest that could possibly happen. It would be cool if nightwing was reimagined as being all black, with his cape/wings like a bird, maybe have a helmet/body armor as well. I mean Gotham is a huge a city, it might not be that much of a stretch. It would just need a strong impetus story wise to fit into the 'realistic' nolan batman.

But I do agree that the third movie is too soon, which time line speaking... Dark Knight was basically 1 year into Batman's origin. ("Let's wind the clock's back a year".... thus proving Batman's only been around for a year or less.) So this third movie, if it takes places months or maybe directly after the Dark knight, will still only be... at most 2 years after Batman showed up around Gotham.

Robin would need to show up after batman began showing serious signs of PTSD, and physical fatigue from fighting every night and not seeing dramatic differences in Gotham's wellbeing. I mean with all the concussions that we would get, it would only be reasonable to assume he would get depressed, or at least a fatality complex, after 5 years of fighting night after night.

Forcing him to the 'edge of darkness', this was always shown in the comics as Bruce Wayne get's more and more stoic as time went on, Alfred always being the one who noticed most as in this recreated bit of dialogue that will always stick with me from i forget which comic.

Alfred - "Remember at the beginning, the grunt you used to practice, the one you said you wanted to strike fear into the criminals of Gotham?"
Wayne - "Yea"
Alfred - "You're doing it all the time now."

No I think if they put Robin in the movie it wont turn out as good as the previous part there will be just to much to focus on.

I love Robin, but I think it's too early in the story for him to be added. Maybe show him losing his parents and being adopted by Bruce as someone else posted, but put it near the end of the movie leaving it open for everyone to speculate. It's the end of the trilogy so it would show us that Batman does indeed have a Robin, but leaves it up to us to interpret which Robin he develops into.
