No, if anything, a young Dick Grayson maybe, but not Robin. I think Robin should come when Batman is in a real tight situation of villians, like say Clayface?

Robin is only a sidekick and should not be in batman 3 because there would be no point. chris nolan would mostly only show the new villians and more of batman but not show a small time sidekick like robin. Also i dont really know who should play him =]

I don't think robin should ever appear in any of the future batman movies it will only bring the homoerotic comic style of the 50s or the childishness of the 60s tv show but if they had to bring robin in then that little hobbit frodo baggins himself elijah wood would probably end up playing him.

Listen, robin is the gayest of batman's sidekicks, OK. If any sidekick should be in the next batman film it should be Nightwing. think about it, He's older, stronger and badder then any robin could ever be and if there looking for someone to play either Nightwing or Robin i'm a pretty good actor and i've been looking for work so think about it Mr. Nolan
P.S. if you even think about casting Shya LaBoff i will kill you with my bare hands.

This has turned into an anti Robin campaign.

(1) Nightwing is older Robin. You can't have Nightwing without first having a great Robin.
(2) Robin is half of Batman's existence. To ignore that is to ignore half of Batman's experience. (3) Robin is the balance that keeps Batman from diving off the deep end of darkness. Yeah, there's such a thing. He confronts this thin line his whole life. It's his biggest struggle. (4) Robin needs to be de-blasphemed. I understand the hate for Robin incarnations-to-date, but what must be done, sooner or later, is for Robin to finally be written and casted very well. Simple. Even Batman can be lame under a bad production. I personally hope Dick Grayson/Robin is introduced in the next movie, or at least, within the next couple of films - with justice. It's been done in the books, particularly when Jeph Loeb writes him. It just needs to be done on the big screen.

Right you are, Null. What would Chico have been without The Man?
But the whole "Dick-Grayson-the-Acro-BatBoy-Wonder" schtick feels a little queer to me. But we do have to save Nightwing, the Tommy Gunn (Rocky V) of the Batman series, for a later flick. I'd like to see him played by Chris O'Donnell, who did a hell of a job in Batman & Robin. If Nolan's gonna put Robin into the series, we've got to scrap the whole orphaned acrobat thing - it's too outdated, it's too "Great-Depression" for my tastes. This is where we get creative. For example how about making Robin a young Sudanese refugee from Darfur whose parents were raped and murdered by evil soldiers from Chad? The Rev. Al Sharpton once told the courts in a young actress's defense "give us a black Orphan Annie". I say give us a black Robin Chris Nolan. Any ideas. As for Nightwing - Greyson as a young man chose Superman as his new role model: an understandable decision. Let's bring in Vin Diesel as Clark Kent (and Nightwing) to Gotham City in Nolan's fourth and final installment of his Batman series, to send Bruce Wayne from whence he came: the shadows of lawlessness which darken his soul. Gotham is not a city for the hapless vigilante. It is one for Superman and Nightwing to protect with heroism, not brutality. (We have a presumption of innocence in this country guys.) From there, Nolan in all of his genius may begin the new Superman series. Any thoughts. Last edited by toughguykerouac; 03-26-2009 at 02:52 AM. |

i don't think any of batmans sidekicks should appear in the new movies. i think nolan can do so much more with exploring the villains of batman and trying to introduce robin would just detract from that (plus i never liked robin anyway.. haha...)
I would like to see Nolan do something with the villians like he did in the Dark Knight. I was upset with what they did with Two Face though. I mean, out of a what, 2 and a half hour movie? Two Face was only Two Face for like half an hour. I thought they could've done so much more with him. Granted, Nolan's attempt at the Joker was brilliant, I'd like to see more in depth villains than sidekicks. I'd like to see some of the female villains in the next movie (minus catwoman, puke!) I'd be interested to see what he'd do with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. I heard they weren't bringing the Joker back (I don't know how they could with the deceased Ledger, no one could ever replace him!) so I doubt they'll ever introduce Harley Quinn
