no way, ledger definatly took it to a much differant level in his bloody, murderous, pshycotic mind game. The original joker (Nicholson) cared only about power. but Ledger's joker didn't want any thing but to watch the under world of gotham tear itself and the rest of gotham apart. Pshycotic!

I'm sorry to ask but do you guys read Batman comic?
Heath's performance was good if he was playing a crazy killer but not the joker. I really hate chris nolan for portraying the joker. Why the F*#k can't he just follow the joker from the killing joke comic. The one with a green hair & chalk white skin. Instead he makes the joker looks like a drug addict working as a clown trying to get his fix. For me jack nicholson will always be the best joker.

Just wish everytime they make a movie out of a comic character they would stick to original story and character.

Please bring tim burton to direct the next batman movie.

He played the role well and did his own thing to prepare for it. In a way I would say that he was copying previous Jokers but then again he was playing a role dome by others.

Sorry for breaking in to this,
but I like the Joker from the Dark Knight.
Heath did it very well, much better than Jack N.

You'd be taken more seriously if you sighted any examples with bearings in reality.

First of all, green hair in TDK? Check. SO, what are you talking about?

Secondly. Chalk white skin? Well, Nolan opted for "warpaint", an artistic choice I personally feel offers more realism than his skin actually being so white. So sure, that one's debatable. I'm cool with what he did though. It's easier to swallow in the real world.

But, your entire argument falls to pieces when you claim Nicholson and Burton did Joker more justice. You clearly don't know what you're talking about if you really believe this. Reread The Killing Joke and tell me Nicholson's (though extremely enteraining) Joker could possibly be related to that one. Heath forever, dude. If you're gonna hate on a superartist, let's see some intelligence. Yeah, I'm mad now. Grrrr! Hahahaha.
