Default did the joker die?

there was nothing clear about what happened to him. we only seen the military aim their guns at him.

do you reckon they locked him up... or shot him?

i know heath is dead... so there is no chance of getting him in a next movie, but if heath didnt die..would there hav been a chance of seeing the joker in a next batman?

xo

didn't you hear what the joker said to batman, "you and i are gonna do this forever" so no the joker wasn't killed, and if heath hadn't died it was to be the joker as the baddie for the third movie, but there is a chance of having the joker in another movie with someone wearing a mask of heaths face in the make up like they did to finish the crow.

I don't know if...logic will matter here but I thought I'd explain this logic, even in the real world, if someone did a routine like the Joker in the movie, they would not get the death penalty (if that is part of what artiIdon'tknowhowtotypetherestofthatname meant.) More or less life without a chance for parole. Had he done off the boats maybe. Just because a couple of cops point a gun at him don't mean nothing, ALL cops friggin do that, especially if someone steals one of their donuts.

the joker is not dead, he was sent to arkham. like always. whether or not they'll use him in some capacity (voice, reference, etc.) in the next movie(s) is yet to be seen, but he's not dead.

This is ridiculous. If we are talking real life here (which we aren't) The Joker racked up so many charges and held the city in such a grip of terror and murder that he would obviously be sentenced to death. He killed and threatened to kill a lot of people. He blew up a HOSPITAL for gods sake! Of course he'd get the death penalty!

However, in the film, because it isn't real, the Joker just got arrested I believe.

This news disappoints me. I think if this actually happened then the actor who played the Joker would obviously attempt to imitate Heath Ledger and it would suck. I think they should just shelve the Joker for a little bit, focus on other Batman villains, and then bring him back in the future with a new interpretation from a different actor, instead of attempting to copy Heath Ledger's version.

The joker isnt dead but if heath was still able to act as joker he would and if joker was really sent to arkham then they would film the next movie about him in arkham most likely

If Nolan chooses to do a new Batman movie, he has to bring a Joker back. That is Batman's prime enemy.

He can easily bypass the joker for the next film, by having him in Arkham, awiting more evidence (his name, for one thing) before his trial.

If its going to continue beyond 3, then recasting the joker is a must.

i think the joker will return but not as The Joker i think his work will be carried on by Harley Quinn, who, rumors have said, will be played by Kristen Bell.
